Sudmeadow Power Station
Green Frog Utilities was awarded a contract, in September 2016, to project manage gas infrastructure delivery on behalf of Viridis Power Ltd, one of the UKs leading providers of gas powered ‘peaking’ generation plant.
This contract notably included project managing the successful delivery of all gas infrastructure associated with Viridis Power Ltd first gas-powered generation plant connected to the Local Transmission Network (“LTS”), operating at 34bar. The work content included installing a new HP ‘hot-tap’ connection, 450m of welded HP steel service pipe, a new HP/MP PRI and meter installation with associated boiler package and outlet installation pipework consisting of >100m of 315mm PE, 27 branch connections and 27 bespoke welded steel gas trains.
This was a very challenging project, with numerous contractors and stakeholders to co-ordinate, however, Green Frog Utilities was able to deliver the project on programme and under budget, saving the client in excess of £70k through effective planning and co-ordination.
